What’s better than to indulge in natural ingredients from our region’s own backyard? Northern California is home to some of the most fertile and rich soil and is used by local farmers to produce a large portion of what Americans serve up on their dinner tables daily.
This year Region Rising is proud to work with Vice President of UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Glenda Humiston. A California native as well as being appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as California State Director at the U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA), Rural Development, Humiston will be discussing key topics such as economic vitality of agriculture and how our region can improve local consumption and how we access our food.
Humiston will help inspire change on November 20th (not only for our local and rural agricultural development but) for our entire region that is made up of many different factors that help keep America running.
